Experience the replay of The Atlanta Opera's 96-Hour Opera Project, the centerpiece of the NOW Festival (New Opera Works). In this exhilarating competition, five creative teams—each consisting of a composer, librettist, singers, and musicians—have just 96 hours to rehearse, and present an original opera scene before a live audience and panel of judges.
Each world-premiere scene competes for the Antinori Foundation Grand Prize of $10,000 and a commission from The Atlanta Opera to expand the winning work into a one-act opera. The commissioned opera will receive its world premiere as part of The Atlanta Opera's 2028 season, making the 96-Hour Opera Project a launching pad for the next generation of American opera.
Watch the replay to witness bold new stories, fresh musical voices, and the excitement of opera being created in real time.
