Go behind the scenes of the creation of *Forsyth County is Flooding (with the Joy of Lake Lanier)*, The Atlanta Opera’s groundbreaking chamber opera by writer Adamma Ebo and composer Marcus Norris. From the original 96-Hour Opera Project competition to the development of a full-length work and its world premiere, this documentary follows Ebo and Norris as they transform a provocative idea into an entirely new opera.
Blending intimate interviews, rehearsal footage, and glimpses into the creative process, the film explores how two artists from the worlds of film, television, contemporary music, and opera came together to confront Georgia’s complicated history—and turn it into a darkly comic, genre-bending work about memory, mystery, and the ghosts that refuse to stay buried.
